C-384
This Bill, put forward by Bloc MP Francine Lalonde, deals with the legalization of euthanasia in Canada and specifically with a persons ‘right’ to die with dignity. There are no limits on this bill and if it becomes law, assisted suicide would be legal in almost any situation. Over the summer we saw a real increase in the public opinion of legalized euthanasia and this is a fight that we can’t afford to let up on.

Questions You Can Ask Your Candidates
September 22, 2008
The Election Campaign is heating up in Canada, with all parties hitting the streets and connecting with voters in their communities. This means that you can take a few minutes and talk to some of your candidates and their teams. If you are the Pastor of a church you can invite the candidates to your service and set up a ‘town hall’ meeting where your members can ask prepared questions, as long as you follow these guidelines set up by Elections Canada:
- All your candidates need to be invited (they might not all be able to come) to the same service and be given an opportunity to answer the same questions. When you invite them be sure to let them know that they will have an opportunity to speak to a group of interested voters-a candidates dream!

Our responsibility lies in choosing good stewards to represent the needs of socially conservative minded people in the government of this Nation.

Contact the Governor General’s office, your Member of Parliament, people on the committee–to politely and continually express your concern over the Order of Canada’s protocol being broken in order to see Morgentaler receive this appointment. The Order of Canada is all about celebrating our identity as a Nation, please communicate that you do not believe abortion is something to be celebrated.
Abortion Statistics
July 6, 2008
Stats Canada:
Induced Abortions in Canada in hospitals and clinics
1970: 11, 200
2005: 97, 254 (last year of available stats)
These statistics are conservative because not all hospitals and clinics are required to report abortion numbers.
A Time for Honesty
July 6, 2008
On July 1, 2008 it was announced that Henry Morgentaler, Canada’s most famous abortion rights crusader was being inducted into the Order of Canada; our nation’s highest civic honour.
Controversy was expected to come from this announcement, and Canadians have not disappointed, with strong reactions coming from pro choice and pro-life activists. The unexpected response has come from those in Canada who up until a week ago had no strong feelings on the issue. It would seem that Morgentaler, who effectively silenced expressions of opposition to abortion on demand, has, with this nomination, re-opened the debate. Maybe this time we can engage in it honestly.
URGENT REQUEST
MORGENTALER & THE ORDER OF CANADA:
Posted: July 2, 2008
CAST YOUR VOTE IN MANY POLLS THAT ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING
Canadians for Moral Clarity strongly opposes Dr. Morgentaler’s induction into the Order of Canada. This nomination has put a stamp of approval on the practice of abortion, an approval that many Canadians are unwilling to bestow. We strongly disagree with the out of the ordinary process that led to his membership and stand firmly against his inclusion in the Order of Canada, our nation’s highest civilian honour.

His Dark Materials - December 7, 2007
The books
His Dark Materials has been described as a fantasy trilogy by both fans and critics alike. On the contrary, Philip Pullman states: “His Dark Materials is not a fantasy, but stark realism.”
He also says: “Readers have told me that the daemons, which at first seem so utterly fantastic, soon become so familiar and essential a part of each character that they, the readers, feel as if they’ve got a daemon themselves. And my point is that they have, that we all have. It’s an aspect of our personality that we often overlook, but it’s there. That’s what I mean by realism: I was using the fantastical elements to say something that I thought was true about us and about our lives.” ...more
