URGENT REQUEST
Keeping the Lord’s Prayer in Ontario
On February 13, 2008, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty, stated that he would like to see the practice of reciting the Lord’s Prayer in the Ontario Legislature come to an end. The Premier asked that an all-party committee be established to examine the use of the Prayer as well as a “more inclusive approach that reflects 21st century Ontario.”
This committee has been established and is being chaired by the Honorable Steve Peters. They would like to hear from voters in Ontario. This is an amazing opportunity to have your voice heard on this very important issue.
Take a minute and respectfully share why you feel the Lord’s Prayer is an important tradition in Ontario and why it should remain in Legislature. http://www.ontla.on.ca/pubcomm1/comments.jsp
